What we do

Every garage door job, across Perth

From a broken spring at 6am to a new door on a new build — homes, shops, warehouses and apartment car parks, on every door type and every brand.

Why we're different

Most “dead motors” aren't dead motors

A garage door is a balanced system. The springs carry the weight, the cables transfer it, the rollers and tracks guide it — and the motor only ever nudges a door that's already balanced. So when a motor hums and strains, the fault is usually a fatigued spring, not the motor being asked to do the impossible.

We pull the manual release and lift your door by hand before we blame anything electrical. It takes thirty seconds, it costs you nothing, and it's the difference between a spring repair and a motor you didn't need.

What Perth locals say

What Perth locals have said after we've been out — from a spring that went bang on a Sunday to a shutter that had a shop shut.

Door started closing then ran straight back up, every single time. I was convinced the motor was cooked. Turned out to be sand packed into the bottom channel and a beam knocked out of line by the bins. Cleaned, realigned, done — and he wouldn't take anything extra for it.
Daniel K. Cannington
Turned up when they said, explained what was actually wrong in plain English instead of a lecture, and gave me the estimate before touching anything. Genuinely no drama, which is not what I've come to expect.
Elena P. Thornlie
Our garage is off a shared driveway behind three other units, and I said so when I booked. They came prepared to walk the gear in rather than turning up, sighing, and rebooking me for a fortnight later.
Marcus O. St James
Heard a bang like a gunshot from the garage on a Sunday and the door wouldn't budge after that. They told me it was a spring before they even arrived, turned up with both, and had it lifting with one finger again. Didn't try to sell me a new motor.
Priya S. Rossmoyne
Explained why both springs get replaced rather than just the broken one, which made complete sense once he put it that way. No pressure, no upsell, and the door has been silent since.
Hannah B. Willetton
Long driveway up the hill and a heavy timber door that had got beyond me. He weighed the door properly rather than guessing at the spring, which apparently the last bloke didn't. Big difference.

Where we work

Garage door service across the Perth metro area

A door fails differently depending on where it lives — salt eats the curtains on the coast, blown sand grinds in the guides, the hills lose power and fight a gradient, and the heritage suburbs constrain what can replace them. Pick your suburb for the local detail.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Why does my garage door reverse before it closes?

Nine times out of ten it isn't the motor. The usual causes are misaligned or dirty safety sensors, a travel limit set incorrectly, or a track binding that spikes the force the motor reads as an obstruction. All three are quick to diagnose on-site and are often adjusted rather than replaced — which is a very different conversation to the new motor most people expect to be sold.

My garage door motor hums but the door won't move — is the motor dead?

Almost certainly not. That symptom nearly always means a broken spring, so the motor is being asked to lift the door's entire weight — something it was never designed to do. Pull the manual release and try lifting the door by hand: if it's a dead weight, it's a spring. Don't keep pressing the button in the meantime, or you'll burn the motor out on top of the original fault.

Can I replace a broken garage door spring myself?

Please don't. A torsion spring stores enough energy to counterbalance an entire garage door, and releasing it without proper winding bars is how people break bones and lose fingers. This isn't about being careful — it's about having the right tools and knowing the sequence. Leave the door exactly as it is and call a technician.

How quickly can you reach me in Perth?

We run technicians across the whole metro, so most emergency callouts are reached in around 60 minutes. When you call we tell you which technician is closest and give a realistic arrival window — not a vague 'sometime today'.

Are you really available 24 hours, including weekends and public holidays?

Yes, and a real person answers — not a message service that rings you back on Monday. A garage door stuck open is a security problem you can't walk away from, and a door stuck shut can be holding your car hostage. Neither waits for business hours, and neither do we.

What does a garage door repair cost?

You get a clear, free quote before any work starts. We don't publish prices, because the honest number depends on your specific door and what's actually failed — a figure on a website that changes the moment we see the door isn't a price, it's bait.

What areas of Perth do you cover?

71 suburbs across the Perth metro area, residential and commercial — from our home ring around Cannington and the City of Canning out through Victoria Park and Belmont, the Gosnells and Armadale corridor, Melville and the riverside south, the western suburbs and the coast, the northern suburbs, Fremantle and the south-west, the Swan Valley corridor and up into the Perth Hills.

Do I need a licensed installer for a garage door in WA?

There is no garage-door trade licence category in Western Australia, and repairing or replacing a door on an existing garage does not reach the value threshold at which builder registration under Building and Energy applies. The one real exception is electrical: adding a power point in the garage or hard-wiring a motor is electrical installation work that must be done by a licensed electrical contractor. Plugging a modern motor into an existing power point is not. We tell you which one your job needs rather than charging you for the wrong one.
